When talking about Design Leadership, most people think of a design executive. But if the design discipline wants to succeed and drive impact in line with its human centred principles and philosophies, we need more than just a few people to lead the change across the organisations and communities we are part of.

In this talk, Sarah Clearwater – Creative Strategist & Design Leadership Coach – will share stories and insights from conversations with 28 people from across Aotearoa’s design & innovation ecosystem to help us reframe our understanding of design and leadership.

During the talk you’ll hear more about how Sarah approached this complex topic in her research and come on the journey of finding the leadership angle for your design practice, no matter your job title.
