A cute dog can transform a ho-hum moment

As part of our epic World Usability Day promotion for 2014, and because this year's theme is 'engagement', we've invited our partners to send us images of things they've been finding engaging in their daily lives.

Today we're sharing an image from Toby, who is CEO at Loop11. His company is generously offering an Enterprise plan worth over $7,000 for the winner of the bundle, and we think that is awesome.

"Product Hunt sent its second iteration of a "startup toolkit," their bundle of discounted new products they feel are interesting to startups. Introducing the email, though, was Marnie The Dog — a total non-sequitir. Marnie pushed this email over the hump from a ho-hum communication into an engaging interaction.

The lesson: even the most boring stuff is fun with a cute doggie."
